About the Role
Paladin Security is seeking a motivated Security Supervisor to lead the team at North York General Hospital's Finch site. This role ensures a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors while acting as a key link between frontline personnel and hospital leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership, direction, and support to security personnel
- Conduct coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate shift schedules and staffing requirements
- Deliver ongoing training and professional development
- Foster a positive and accountable team culture
- Oversee daily security operations and shift activities
- Maintain a visible and proactive presence throughout the hospital
- Conduct facility patrols and identify security risks
- Respond to incidents and emergencies
- Lead investigations and prepare incident reports
- Ensure adherence to security procedures and regulatory compliance
- Conduct security audits and inspections
- Monitor training compliance and certification requirements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Act as the primary point of contact for operational concerns
- Collaborate with the Client Service Manager and hospital representatives
- Address security-related issues promptly and professionally
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider
- Valid Ontario G-Class Driver's License
- Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination
- Complete immunization records including Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and two-step TB skin testing
- Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Willingness to complete N95 mask-fit testing
- Possess or be willing to obtain Use of Force (UOF) Certification
- Possess or be willing to obtain Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Certification
