About the Role
Skills for Change is seeking a Youth Services Worker for the YCAI program. This role involves supporting outreach, developing educational content, and assisting with workshops and community events.
Responsibilities
- Support outreach efforts to recruit diverse youth, guest speakers and mentors
- Assist in developing educational content and materials related to sustainability and climate action
- Support workshops by co-presenting and leading activities to enhance engagement with participants
- Support the creation of bi-weekly newsletters
- Research, gather and disseminate relevant resources for youth participants
- Support community events
Requirements
- Must be between 15 and 29 years of age upon commencement of employment
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred
- International students and those on a work, youth, or visitor visa/permit are not eligible
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be able to secure a police Vulnerable Sector Check prior to starting employment
