About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and driven Operations Analyst to support data-driven decision-making and operational performance across a complex, high-volume environment. This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working with large data sets, building dashboards, uncovering trends, and influencing business outcomes through reporting and analytics. You will play a key role in both day-to-day operations and strategic improvement initiatives, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute daily operational transactions, including account updates, billing activities, and exception handling
- Oversee and validate large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple systems
- Proactively identify and correct data discrepancies and lead clean-up efforts
- Act as a subject matter resource for internal teams requiring support on operational or account-related inquiries
- Help maintain compliance with internal processes related to contracts and customer records
- Create and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports to monitor operational performance
- Interpret complex data sets (100K+ records) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Develop insights that support process optimization and business strategy
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including leadership teams
- Simplify technical outputs into clear, digestible summaries for non-technical audiences
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workflows and system efficiency
- Support system issue resolution by working with internal technology teams and vendors
- Participate in cross-functional projects, either taking ownership or supporting delivery
- Help define requirements for enhancements to systems, tools, or processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in an operations, analytics, or data-focused role
- Experience working in high-volume, process-driven environments (regulated industries are an asset)
- Proven experience handling and analyzing large datasets
Skills
- Advanced to expert proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI and Power Query
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Confident communicator with the ability to present to management and executive audiences
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Flexible in taking on leadership responsibilities or supporting team initiatives
