About the Role

Project Accountants at Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) are essential for maintaining financial health and integrity. This role involves preparing detailed AIA billings and managing change order documentation for general contractors, ensuring project profitability and trust.

Responsibilities

• Ensure billing practices comply with contract terms.
• Prepare and submit monthly Payment Applications/Invoices to General Contractors.
• Execute and invoice job-specific change orders accurately and promptly.
• Process and manage required lien releases.
• Prepare monthly project analyses to verify billing goals and revenue targets.
• Complete job statement reconciliations and provide clear financial analysis.
• Partner with collections and accounting teams to reconcile payment application variances.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external Project Managers on billing status and change orders.
• Serve as a liaison between finance and operations for accurate billing workflows.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Accounting and corporate objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
• 1-2 years of prior Project Accounting/Billing Analyst experience.
• AIA Billing Experience preferred.
• Experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate between internal and external client stakeholders.
• Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
