About the Role
ICHI is seeking a forward-thinking Studio Systems Engineer to provide strategic oversight for business technology and IT needs, focusing on project delivery and the creative production pipeline. This specialist role acts as the bridge between creative ambitions and technical capabilities, representing UK technical needs globally and designing infrastructure in alignment with global guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement technical infrastructure to support project delivery.
- Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in the creative production pipeline.
- Streamline workflows from brief to delivery.
- Act as the voice for UK team's specialist technical needs at a global alignment level.
- Coordinate with North American operations teams to align global technical needs.
- Collaborate with the global IT team to manifest long-term infrastructure strategies.
- Assess creative needs and translate them into actionable IT requirements.
- Help develop a multi-tiered approach to infosec compliance.
- Ensure strict compliance with project requirements.
- Hold strategic oversight and auditing responsibilities for production kits.
- Provide strategic oversight for business technology and IT needs.
- Ensure internal staff and external freelancers have the optimal foundation for their work.
- Shape the agency's technological approach.
- Take ownership of the technical pipeline.
- Build and audit kit and manage VLAN setups.
- Collaborate on comprehensive IT support with the central IT team.
- Submit, triage, and escalate IT tickets for the team.
- Onboard and offboard freelancers efficiently.
- Manage user access/permissions in alignment with central IT.
- Set up test/dev kits.
- Handle server file storage.
- Execute complex build appraisals.
- Provide ongoing in-engine technical support.
- Liaise directly with client or developer tech teams.
- Leverage AI and machine learning to build automations that improve production pipeline efficiencies.
- Distill complex infrastructure requirements into clear, actionable insights.
Requirements
- Proven experience in complex project setups.
- Physical preparation of machines.
- Identifying required kit specs.
- Installation of capture/cine builds and specific project software.
- Confidence in collaborating on comprehensive IT support with our central IT team.
- Experience efficiently onboarding and offboarding freelancers.
- Managing user access/permissions in alignment with central IT.
- Setting up test/dev kits.
- Handling server file storage.
- Ability to execute complex build appraisals.
- Provide ongoing in-engine technical support.
- Liaise directly with client or developer tech teams.
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI and machine learning to build automations that measurably improve production pipeline efficiencies.
- Confident communicator.
- Natural conduit between departments.
- Comfortable dealing with internal teams needs on a day to day basis.
- Ability to distill complex infrastructure requirements into clear, actionable insights.
