About the Role
As a Consultant, R&D Solutions, you will lead customer projects and deliver data-driven solutions from pre-sales through implementation. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, shape solutions, and guide projects through delivery. This includes presenting solutions during pre-sales, supporting execution, and demonstrating outcomes at project completion.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
- Lead and coordinate project delivery, including stakeholders and internal teams
- Present solutions in pre-sales discussions and support customer engagements throughout execution
- Stay up to date with scientific, market, and competitive developments relevant to customers
- Apply expertise in data science, cheminformatics, or bioinformatics to support data-driven decision-making
- Use structured project management processes and tools to drive delivery
- Contribute to the development and execution of Elsevier’s product and dataset strategy
Requirements
- Advanced degree in life sciences, data science, cheminformatics, or bioinformatics
- Experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
