About the Role
Noblis MSD is seeking a software developer/data scientist to support US Navy ship programs. This role involves leveraging expertise in statistics, machine learning, and data analysis to identify trends, develop predictive models, and provide actionable insights. You will collect and clean data, perform exploratory analysis, apply algorithms, and offer technical assistance in the Philadelphia Navy Yard. Additionally, you will contribute system engineering and development expertise to build database procedures, debug protocols, and design architecture.
Responsibilities
- Participating in customer technical meetings
- Collecting and cleaning data from various sources
- Performing exploratory data analysis to understand data characteristics and relationships
- Applying statistical and machine learning algorithms to analyze data and extract insights
- Helping design the system architecture for CSOSS Procedure Management and Publishing system (CSOSS MIS)
- Developing Oracle database procedures and queries
- Debugging the NAVLOGTD environment and consolidate the database
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or Master's degree and 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of C#, javascript, aspx, sql, Python, R, C/C++, and xml
- Comfortable with modern software development practices (e.g., Git, testing, debugging)
- Use Machine learning, Physics-based models, Predictive maintenance, Power trading, Product & Software development, Edge computing, semantic analysis, clustering analysis
- Experience with Matplotlib, Numpy, Pandas, PGMpy, Scikit-learn, SciPy
- Creating visualizations of data in clear, concise manners
- US Citizen and able to obtain secret clearance prior to start
