About the Role

Join our collaborative, growth-oriented veterinary hospital as a Veterinary Assistant. We are seeking compassionate professionals passionate about providing exceptional care to pets and their families, embracing low-stress handling techniques, and making a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during routine exams and surgical procedures.
• Monitor and care for pets, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Collect samples and perform diagnostics under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, and treatments.
• Record and maintain patient medical history and inventory logs.
• Prepare rooms for appointments and surgery.
• Educate pet parents on preventive care, nutrition, and behavior.
• Support low-stress handling practices during all interactions.
• Assist with radiographs, dental procedures, and general anesthesia monitoring.
• Maintain a clean, disease-free environment throughout the center.
• Promote all center services, including grooming, daycare, and boarding.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a clinical veterinary setting preferred.
• Exceptional client communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities.
• Teamwork mindset.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs.
• Ability to manage emotionally and physically demanding situations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Fear Free or HABRI certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Passion for pets and the human-animal bond.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in innovative veterinary practices.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
