About the Role

This highly visible role is focused on strategic stakeholder management and advanced negotiations, delivering both savings and strong relationships with new and existing vendors. There is a significant focus on business partnering and execution, with the role holder owning strategic business units to drive improvements in products and services for the best prices and terms.

Responsibilities

Define the purchasing roadmap of spend categories, supporting ad-hoc spend >25K and significant contracts with key vendors (0.5 - 5M).
Negotiate beyond basic practices to deliver maximum value, even in difficult negotiation positions.
Analyze current and future spending, as well as current purchasing procedures.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with key strategic suppliers.
Represent Freenow by Lyft in supplier negotiations.
Gain cross-functional trust and respect as a service provider for the whole group, building expertise for strategic categories.
Identify and drive improvement initiatives to optimize costs while ensuring best quality services.
Ensure consistent adherence to the procurement process.
Help design and implement a purchasing system.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or management consulting with a focus on procurement.
Deep negotiation knowledge and ability to apply advanced negotiation skills in different strategies.
Strong analytical capabilities with a proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable procurement insights.
Ability to support multiple annual spend cycles with specific examples of addressable spend and savings achieved.
Seeks feedback for growth and development.
Proven track record of negotiating with partners from various European countries, with awareness of procurement practices and standards from different markets (ideally Germany, UK & Ireland, Spain).
Confident in internal discussions and winning arguments through strategic communication.
Solid understanding of processes and confidence to manage projects and people successfully.
Fluent spoken and written English skills.
Good working knowledge of Google tools and Excel.
