About the Role

We are seeking an empathetic, curious, and hands-on HR Associate to support key HR functions, including performance evaluations, compliance, employee documentation, and daily HR operations. This role focuses on creating a smooth and consistent employee experience for Wolt couriers in Germany, leveraging technology and cross-collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted point of contact for Wolt couriers across Germany, supporting them with general HR topics, performance-related questions, and day-to-day employee inquiries.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, contractual changes and documentation, and leave management.
• Ensure compliance by managing and auditing all personnel-related documents.
• Maintain high-quality data integrity within HR systems by identifying errors and following up on missing information.
• Collaborate closely with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
• Continuously contribute to the improvement of HR processes and the overall employee service experience.
• Independently leverage AI tools to drive process improvements, automation, and smarter ways of working.
• Bring empathy, curiosity, ownership, and a hands-on mindset to the role with the understanding that every task matters when it supports our people.

Requirements

• A completed commercial vocational training (kaufmännische Ausbildung), ideally complemented by further HR certification or proven work-experience in the field.
• Basic understanding of data protection (GDPR) and labor law.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and German at a minimum B2 level (C1 preferred).
• A service-oriented approach with a genuine care and passion for creating great employee experiences.
• General proficiency in digital tools and HR systems; experience with AI tools and an interest in automation and process improvement are a big plus, but not a must.
• Initial experience working with HRIS or Workday platforms and maintaining accurate employee records is desirable.
• A structured, detail-oriented work style with a passion for refining HR workflows.
• A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to tackle challenges both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable with cross-functional collaboration and supporting multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in tools such as Zoom, DocuSign, Google Workspace, Monday.com, or similar platforms is an advantage.
• Curious, eager to learn, and motivated to continuously develop your HR and operational expertise.
• The hiring process includes conversations with the talent acquisition partner, hiring managers and a practical assignment with a final cross-functional discussion.
