About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Revit Technician / BIM Coordinator to support engineering teams in producing and managing drawings and building models. This senior role involves supervising other technicians and overseeing BIM Coordination on projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the production of engineering teams' Revit Models and drawings.
- Assist Engineers with project detailing, adapting details to suit structural design.
- Assist the Team with setting time and budget constraints.
- Liaise with Architects and other consultants.
- Assist in the development of BIM in conjunction with the Senior Management Team.
- Attend site and Design Team Meetings.
- Perform individual model creation and drawing production.
- Support the Head of BIM with BIM coordination and management.
- Engage with clients and project managers regarding BIM.
- Establish project BIM requirements in line with ISO19650.
- Produce project BIM Execution Plans and Model Production Delivery Tables.
- Set up Autodesk Collaboration Cloud as the project Common Data Environment.
- Utilize Revit and Navisworks for clash detection and reporting geometrical and date-related issues.
- Chair and facilitate sessions with the Project Team to review model issues and drive resolution.
- Contribute towards the creation of walk/fly through videos.
Requirements
- At least 5-10 years of Revit experience in a building structures environment.
- Strong team player.
- Meticulous with impeccable attention to detail.
- Flexible when needed.
- Significant experience in Revit and building structures.
- Experience working on refurbishments and new builds is ideal.
- 5-10 years of experience working as a Revit Technician.
- Strong team-centered approach.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and oral.
- Personal time management and organization to ensure deadlines are met.
- Thorough and meticulous approach, taking pride in the accuracy and quality of work produced.
- Desire to learn more and progress within the industry.
- Ability and experience to supervise and support junior staff.
- A good academic history including a related qualification.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
