About the Role

Join our team as a Plumber, serving customers across Hampshire, Berkshire, and Sussex. In this role, you will fix plumbing issues, conduct water efficiency audits, install water-saving devices, and contribute to a sustainable future. You will also assist with project planning, cost estimation, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of plumbing projects. A key part of your role will be ensuring customer satisfaction and providing emergency assistance as part of the Waterlink Plumbing standby team.

Responsibilities

  • Take detailed records of works for cost, measurement, and quality.
  • Produce detailed, accurate records of as-built details for completed schemes.
  • Assist in the supervision of site work, ensuring quality, health, safety, programme compliance, cost efficiency, and customer/client liaison.
  • Confidently explain work being carried out to customers, ensuring their peace of mind.
  • Ensure the team understands customer needs, managing expectations and dealing with queries and complaints fairly.
  • Work as part of the Waterlink team, assisting office and field functions, including in other geographical areas as required.
  • Propose innovative solutions for Customer Side Leak repairs by seeking appropriate information and assessment methods.
  • Deal with arising issues effectively, seeking help when necessary.
  • Implement plumbing works in accordance with best practices and relevant regulations.
  • Ensure quality, environmental, and Health & Safety policies are considered on every project.
  • Routinely audit works to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Conduct Water Efficiency Audits and install water-saving devices.
  • Report on progress and customer interactions.
  • Review plans and visit sites for cost estimations.
  • Ensure plumbing projects run safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure every customer interaction is positive.

Requirements

  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Must pass background, identity, and employment referencing checks.
  • Strong operational and industry knowledge and experience is essential.

Skills

  • Level 2 City and Guild Plumbing Qualification
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Card (Bonus)
  • WIAPS approved Plumber (Bonus)
  • Level 3 City and Guild Plumbing qualification (Bonus)

Salary/Compensations

  • £33,500 - £38,900 p.a.
  • £7500 average Standby Rota and Overtime earnings approx p.a.
