About the Role
Vestwell is seeking an experienced Senior Implementations Onboarding Associate to act as the primary liaison for Plan Sponsors and Financial Advisors during their onboarding to Vestwell's platform. This role involves project management, cross-functional collaboration to improve the onboarding experience, and providing expertise on plan design and training.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary internal client advocate representing plan sponsor and advisor contacts.
- Manage all aspects of the onboarding process from point of sale through successful transition of new plans to our platform.
- Coordinate with financial advisors, plan sponsors, prior recordkeepers, and/or third-party administrators to determine conversion timelines, key action items, and delivery dates.
- Communicate overall project status to both external and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide support where needed and ensure the team can deliver against expected service level agreements.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in project management and leading team initiatives end to end.
- Flexibility, creativity, team orientation, and results-driven approach.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Professional experience using and optimizing internal technical operational tools (e.g. Jira, Zendesk, Asana, Google Workspace).
- Experience helping others develop and employ best practices for operational tools.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning, creating, and iterating rapidly.
- Willingness to learn retirement plan design and plan conversion processes from point of sales to release of conversion data.
- General knowledge of ERISA rules and requirements.
- Experience with one or more compliance / recordkeeping systems (e.g. SunGard Relius, ASC, FIS).
- PMP or similar project management certifications.
