About the Role

The Communities, Energy and Infrastructure (CE&I) practice advises leaders in energy and utility clients on navigating the energy transition. We develop decarbonisation strategies and drive solutions for renewable generation, green gases, hydrogen, smarter grids, carbon capture, and related infrastructures. Our collaborative model integrates industry, policy, regulation, and energy systems expertise to deliver maximum client value. We seek passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds to help realize the energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on navigating energy transition challenges and opportunities.
  • Create impact on projects related to decarbonisation pathways, electricity network innovation, flexibility markets, net-zero business models, energy efficiency, and regional whole system solutions.
  • Conduct industry research and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare client deliverables and present findings.
  • Synthesize data into analyses and provide fact-based recommendations.
  • Support the development of plans to implement recommendations.
  • Assist with client proposals and business development activities.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues and related teams, including Public Sector and Sustainability.

Requirements

  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
  • Critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and problem-solving creativity.
  • Working knowledge of data collection, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while understanding objectives and client expectations.
  • Strong communication, written, and presentation skills.
  • Passion for the energy transition, innovation, and personal development.
  • Relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., engineering, energy, economics, mathematics, international business, physical sciences).
  • One or more years of working experience in related fields (relevant experience may substitute for formal education or advanced degree).
  • Strong curiosity and/or experience in topics such as power systems, renewable energy integration, industry decarbonization, flexibility markets, electricity transmission & distribution planning, climate risk and mitigation, the role of gas in the energy system, low carbon gas opportunities (hydrogen, biofuels), sustainability, and the environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Fluent English language (written and spoken).
  • Flexibility to work with colleagues and client teams in London and other UK locations.
