About the Role

The incumbent plays an essential role in creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive and succeed. As a teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons according to established curricula, while integrating innovative pedagogical approaches and using effective assessment methods to measure student progress. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the promotion of the Acadian and Francophone language and culture, while pursuing your own professional development to meet the changing needs of your students and the school.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach school subjects in accordance with learning outcomes identified in the curricula through engaging, diverse, and differentiated activities
  • Use inclusive, varied, and student-success-centered pedagogical approaches
  • Use assessment strategies to support learning and measure student progress
  • Integrate technology into teaching
  • Promote the Acadian and Francophone language and culture
  • Pursue continuous professional development in line with the needs of students and the school
  • Actively participate in meetings and school life

Requirements

  • Hold a Nova Scotia teaching certificate (or be eligible for one)
  • Hold the training and experience relevant to the tasks and subjects taught
  • Proficiency in French, both oral and written
  • A judicial check (vulnerable sector) and a child abuse registry check will be required before taking up the position if selected
  • Applications submitted in French only will be considered
