About the Role
The Visual Merchandising Assistant will support the EU North VM Team by building and implementing documentation and an effective process framework to drive team efficiencies. This role will also handle team admin tasks and work on VM updates across campaign and permanent VM, including preparing orders, creating artwork, translating plates, managing suppliers, budgets, and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a standard guideline & process for the VM team, keeping VM documentation/files up to date and user-friendly.
- Handle general team admin, including raising POs, budget tracking, and prop/stock management.
- Ensure permanent VM in-store is correct and meets expected standards, delivering regular updates.
- Deliver campaign VM elements that update frequently in store, varying from till units and hotspots to graphics, screens, and window schemes.
- Imagine creative solutions to help problem solve and drive VM effectiveness.
- Build campaign guidelines for stores to follow and ensure high standards are maintained.
- Conduct range reviews and data analysis, partnering with commercial and marketing teams to optimize VM.
- Manage suppliers across a range of projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to high quality.
- Own and maintain VM guidelines for both permanent and campaign VM.
- Act as a VM expert and champion by sharing knowledge and conducting VM training sessions with store teams.
- Conduct regular store visits to understand the retail landscape, suggest improvements, and maintain store communication.
- Support new store openings by delivering all required VM elements.
- Brief artwork for all graphics and display units, adapting Global VM guidelines for EU North requirements.
Requirements
- Sufficient VM experience.
- Experience working with retailers.
- Confident working with suppliers.
- Willingness to travel.
- Nimble minded, excited at the prospect of working in a fast-paced, unpredictable and creative environment.
- Flexibility and a proactive, positive attitude towards ambiguity.
- Ability to relish a challenge, whether executing on a tight deadline or heading up a project.
