About the Role

The Japan IT Country Head oversees all aspects of information technology for State Street Trust and Banking Co., Ltd. Japan. This role manages technology service delivery, leads the IT Steering Committee, and ensures IT governance within a matrix management structure.

Responsibilities

• Align IT services to support the needs of business units and corporate functions in Japan
• Assist the business in strategy formulation
• Manage multiple application development teams in the design, development, testing, and implementation of software
• Provide technical oversight and direction for system design and implementation initiatives
• Collaborate with technology teams to ensure service alignment with business needs
• Track project delivery against agreed service levels
• Ensure projects remain within budget and on schedule
• Provide legal entity oversight for regulatory compliance related to Information Technology

Requirements

• Solid working knowledge of the Asset Servicing Industry, its products, and regulatory environment
• Experience with Japan regulatory and FSA inspection manual guidelines and organizational implementation
• Fluent in business-level Japanese, verbal and written
• Fluent in English, verbal and written
• Proven track record in the delivery of major projects and programs
