About the Role

This position reports directly to the President and is responsible for collecting and analyzing performance, market, competitor, product, and supply chain data necessary for management decision-making. The role collaborates with various departments including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to visualize and document analysis results, supporting timely and accurate decision-making by the President and management.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and consolidate business data from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Organize basic data such as sales, gross profit, sales volume, product performance, forecasts, inventory, stockouts, and supply status.
  • Clarify discrepancies in figures and assumptions between departments by consulting with stakeholders and present findings clearly for the President.
  • Analyze basic factors including sales, gross profit, volume, price, mix, and inventory.
  • Reconcile differences between plans, forecasts, and actuals, and identify key drivers of change.
  • Conduct simple analyses by product, department, customer, and region as needed.
  • Support the collection and organization of market trends, competitor information, pricing trends, product trends, and customer/distributor information.
  • Combine internal data, external reports, distributor information, and input from sales and marketing to support market understanding.
  • Perform basic analysis and documentation of market share and competitor positioning under the direction of superiors.
  • Create and update PowerPoint presentations, Excel analysis tables, and management meeting materials for the President.
  • Organize figures and analysis results for easy understanding by the President and management.
  • Prepare, translate, and summarize documents in Japanese and English as needed.
  • Support data collection and material preparation for AOP, Forecast, and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Commercial departments to organize assumptions and discrepancies for plans, forecasts, and actuals.
  • Organize post-meeting actions, discussion points, and outstanding issues, and support follow-up.
  • Coordinate smoothly with stakeholders in Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Promptly collect necessary information from relevant departments in response to requests from the President.
  • Contribute to faster management decision-making through cross-departmental information organization and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience in corporate planning, business planning, sales planning, marketing planning, commercial excellence, FP&A, consulting, or data analysis.
  • P2想定: Approximately 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • P3想定: Over 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in data organization and analysis using Excel.
  • Experience in creating management-level presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple departments to organize and consolidate information.
  • Native level Japanese language proficiency.
  • Business level English language proficiency.
