About the Role

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. We are seeking a professional to oversee the delivery of major construction packages, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and budget targets are met. This role involves making informed operational decisions and developing robust plans for coordinated, efficient, and successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior construction leadership by planning short-term works.
  • Coordinate trade contractors and ensure safety, wellbeing, and quality across allocated areas.
  • Manage lookahead planning and provide technical guidance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, and delivery teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement, digital adoption, and responsible business priorities.
  • Collaborate across teams to meet programme goals and advance net-zero ambitions.
  • Manage exceptional safety, quality, sustainability, and compliance standards.
  • Apply strong health and safety expertise.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Support construction leadership to translate project vision into deliverable plans.
  • Ensure ethical, compliant, and financially responsible project delivery.
  • Contribute to long-term business strategy.
  • Develop teams, share best practice, and provide technical guidance.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Requirements

  • Working towards MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or equivalent professional development.
  • Experience delivering construction projects or programmes.
  • Strong construction management skills.
  • Developing commercial and financial acumen.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement.
  • Understanding of sustainability and carbon considerations.
  • Construction management experience, preferably in Rail/Utilities/Bus/Highways.
