About the Role

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. This role is accountable for all internal and external outcomes for appointments valued between £2.5m and £6m in Mace fee.

Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery of sub‑programmes, ensuring strategies, governance, safety and compliance align with programme vision and objectives.
  • Optimize performance through effective resource use, risk management, commercial oversight and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, driving benefits, outcomes and high‑quality programme documentation.
  • Foster an inclusive, high‑performing team, promoting innovation, best practice, and Mace’s net‑zero and digital ambitions.
  • Manage exceptional safety, quality, sustainability and compliance standards, applying advanced health and safety expertise.
  • Drive successful delivery of key projects from inception to completion, providing strategic direction and oversight for clients.
  • Manage budgets, uphold ethical practices and contribute to long‑term business strategy and value creation.
  • Build high‑performing, inclusive teams and collaborate with senior stakeholders, championing innovation and best practice across Mace.

Requirements

  • Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE) or equivalent development.
  • Extensive project and programme delivery experience.
  • Strong commercial, financial and technical project management expertise.
  • Proven leadership, senior stakeholder management and sustainability awareness.
  • Construction management experience, preferably in Rail/Utilities/Bus/Highways.
