About the Role
As a Carer at RSL LifeCare, you will be empowered to make a meaningful difference in people's lives within a supportive work environment. You will work collaboratively with residents and their families to provide personal care, ensuring timely and effective care that meets individual needs and care plans. Encourage resident wellbeing and independence by supporting engagement in preferred activities and interests, embodying a person-centred approach. Participate in risk management and continuous quality improvement activities, and build strong relationships with your team to achieve positive resident outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with residents and their families to provide personal care
- Provide quality, timely and effective care that reflects the unique needs of each resident and in accordance with resident care plans
- Encourage the wellbeing and independence of residents by supporting them to engage in preferred activities and interests
- Embody a person-centred approach, recognising and promoting the individual’s unique goals and preferences
- Participate in risk management and continuous quality improvement activities
- Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver positive outcomes for residents
Requirements
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy and advocacy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently by optimising the use of technology within your role
- Teamwork skills
- Qualifications in individual support or related work experience are beneficial
- Australian Working Rights
- A valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check
