About the Role

WEHI is transforming how its professional services empower scientists to deliver world-leading medical research. This role is responsible for accounts payable activities for WEHI, supporting the Institute's financial results through accurate and timely invoice processing and month-end procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Supplier invoice processing for the Institute.
  • Preparing weekly payment batches accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Month end processing to support the Institute's financial results.
  • Collaborating with the broader Finance department, Logistics and Procurement.
  • Working with external stakeholders including banks, vendors and suppliers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in large volume accounts payable team.
  • Experience in Technology One/Workday or comparable finance system.
  • Experience with complex Accounts Payable issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with colleagues across different teams.
  • Excellent analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills with a solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • Initiative and sound judgement to complete tasks and resolve issues with limited supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to work under pressure.
  • Strong customer focus and able to build strong relationships across the Institute and externally.

  • $78,121 - $82,911
