About the Role

Anrok is building the agentic infrastructure layer to enable AI agents to reason about tax data, take action across jurisdictions, and operate reliably at scale. This foundational role involves designing and shipping the primitives that power the product, requiring a blend of distributed systems expertise and hands-on experience with production-grade AI agent systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical architecture decisions for new agent infrastructure services from design through production deployment.
  • Develop evaluation, observability, and reliability tooling for agent infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product and tax data teams to translate compliance workflows into scalable agent primitives.
  • Drive engineering best practices including code quality, testing, system design, and operational health.
  • Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability bottlenecks.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to technical culture.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building and operating distributed, production-grade systems.
  • Proven experience designing scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant services.
  • Experience building and deploying AI agents or LLM-powered systems in production.
  • Familiarity with the modern AI stack, including prompt engineering, eval frameworks, RAG pipelines, tool calling, and agent orchestration.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including design, code review, testing, deployment, and on-call ownership.
