About the Role
Fitness & Lifestyle Group has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities / Maintenance Technician to join the team on a full-time basis. In this role you'll play an integral part in servicing iconic fitness clubs to ensure facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and functional environment for members and team. You will be the first point of contact for club managers for all maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned & reactive mechanical repairs and provide troubleshooting to gym equipment following club visit schedules to agreed service levels.
- Ensure all logged maintenance jobs are followed up and completed in a timely manner.
- Equipment removal and re-installation.
- Document and maintain maintenance records and hazard identification, reporting any incidents or near misses through WHS systems.
- Provide essential service audits, and work with suppliers with warranties and ordering spare parts.
Requirements
- Be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding role.
- Have effective communication skills both written and verbal and natural ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills and be comfortable working autonomously.
- Be confident managing and coordinating external contractors.
- Have a passion for the fitness industry and a willingness to learn.
- Experience as a Facilities / Maintenance Technician.
- Experience maintaining and working from a maintenance log system such as Service now or Jira.
- Australian driver's license and clean driving record.
