About the Role

The Promotions Specialist is responsible for implementing strategic plans and coordinating national and regional tradeshows, conferences, events, sponsorships, advertising, and photography to meet event objectives and highlight the Stantec brand. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple initiatives, and collaborates effectively with diverse individuals across geographies.

Responsibilities

• Implement annual strategic tradeshows, conferences, and events to promote brand awareness.
• Ensure messaging and graphics align with Company and Stantec's brand guidelines.
• Serve as a contact for tradeshow/event inquiries for the Infrastructure business.
• Provide guidance on processes and available tradeshow/event support services.
• Work with internal stakeholders to implement the annual strategic tradeshow/event plan.
• Identify and develop collateral material and visual displays in partnership with a visual communication designer.
• Identify and develop communications strategy and plan in partnership with marketing, public relations, and digital teams.
• Facilitate the delivery and set-up of all materials, including tradeshow exhibits, presentations, and promotional materials.
• Coordinate and purchase promotional merchandise, including client giveaways.
• Understand costs, timelines, and shipping for materials development and purchase to assist in budgeting.
• Update and maintain a promotional database of tradeshows, conferences, and events.
• Support sponsorship-related inquiries and deliverables for the Infrastructure business.
• Provide guidance on process and available sponsorship support services.
• Support implementation of the annual strategic sponsorship plan.
• Identify and develop sponsorship-related materials in partnership with a visual communication designer.
• Assist in tracking sponsorships, including post sponsorship debrief forms.
• Support advertising-related inquiries and deliverables for the Infrastructure business.
• Provide guidance on process and available advertising support services.
• Support implementation of the annual strategic advertising plan.
• Develop copy and identify imagery for all Infrastructure business advertisements in partnership with a visual communication designer.
• Assist in tracking advertisements, including recommendations on future participation.
• Support photography-related inquiries and deliverables for the Infrastructure business.
• Provide guidance on process, photography guidelines, and Stantec-approved marketing photographers.
• Support implementation of the annual strategic photography plan for people and projects.
• Research and establish Stantec-approved agreements with local outsourced photographers.
• Coordinate and execute project photography, including client permissions, shot list, schedule, and cost.
• Upload and batch photos into the image library in a timely manner.
• Perform quality reviews to ensure photography adheres to Stantec's brand and photography guidelines.
• Assist in tracking photography, including recommendations on future people and projects.
