About the Role

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems using Java, Ruby, Scala, and Go.
• Build software infrastructure, including development, testing, and deployment.
• Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
• Engineer payments integration with various financial partners' software systems.
• Design APIs and data models for complex financial abstractions and multi-party integrations.
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine design feasibility.
• Work with engineers to build new features at large scale.
• Build new systems for secure data storage and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Integrate observability tools and alerting mechanisms into high-traffic production systems.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead technical design reviews, and establish best practices in code quality, system design, resilience engineering, and deployment strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2 years of Software development experience.
• 2 years of experience working with Java, Scala, Python and AWS.
• 2 years of experience implementing industry standard design patterns.
• 2 years of software engineering experience building full-stack web applications at scale.
• 2 years of experience with database management.
• 2 years of experience using SQL and related query languages to perform data analysis.
