About the Role
The Asset Protection Supervisor is responsible for executing and directing the company's Asset Protection, Shortage Control and Safety programs at the store level. This role supervises Loss Prevention Associates in monitoring physical protection and safety standards for merchandise, store structure, customers, and associates. The supervisor acts as a deterrent to dishonest activity and may make apprehensions as needed, while also detecting, reporting, and resolving issues related to safety, inventory shrink, cash handling, and theft.

- Coach and train Asset Protection Associates and Greeters in the execution of the company's Asset Protection program.
- Create an environment of strong and visible presence by the Asset Protection team.
- Schedule, supervise, and direct a single or multiple store's Asset Protection Associates in the execution of the company's Asset Protection program with store manager/RAPM guidance as needed.
- Demonstrate business acumen, including current and prior shrink results.
- Exhibit strategic thinking and sound decision-making through knowledge using AP key Risk Indicator Reporting and technology.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new Asset Protection Associates.
- Supervise and execute all required audits and reporting of Asset Protection programs.
- Detect and deter individuals involved in dishonest or illicit activity in the store.
- Enforce company standards as they relate to security and safety procedures.
- Participate in the training of new hire associates in matters of asset protection and safety procedures.
- Develop solutions to Operational deficiencies and assist in problem solving Asset Protection Issues in partnership with Store Management.
- Build a high performing team by creating a culture of collaboration.
- Provide honest and timely direction, follow up, and feedback that will drive results and support team engagement.
- Execute business expectations within expected timeframes by setting clear expectations, providing consistent performance management to encourage development, as well as consistent follow-up and accountability.
