About the Role
The Associate Relationship Manager - Sales is responsible for covering institutional prospective clients, following up on leads, building relationships, and closing business. This role involves presenting the firm's investment philosophy and strategies to prospects and consultants.
Responsibilities
- Interfaces with external partners and institutional team members to coordinate with Sales Relationship Managers and deploy business development resources.
- Orchestrates the institutional sales process within the assigned territory.
- Travels to meet with prospective clients in person.
- Ensures accurate and updated information regarding prospect personnel, decision-making processes, and search activity is recorded in proprietary systems.
- Conducts cold calls to establish contacts and arrange prospect meetings.
- Delivers formal presentations to convey the firm’s investment philosophy and strategies.
- Prepares materials and strategizes with senior management for presentations to win business.
- Explains relevant FIA policies to clients and prospective clients.
- Maintains and updates databases on communication activity with clients, prospects, and consultants.
- Operates and represents FIA with the highest level of integrity and work ethic.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Required to travel 30% or more of the time.
- At least 3 years of experience and a demonstrated track record of success selling investment management to institutions or high net worth individuals is preferred.
- Competitive and self-motivated with the ability to set, monitor, and accomplish goals.
- Resourceful and organized with the ability to work smart, multi-task, and address complex challenges.
- Solid investment knowledge; previous Institutional investment experience is preferred.
- Ability to apply mathematical and financial concepts such as geometric linking, cap/dollar/equal weightings, Alpha, Beta, Tracking Error, Information Ratio.
