About the Role

Responsibilities
- Maintain refrigeration, steam, and compressed air systems.
- Follow company policies, including performance and safety standards.
- Ensure proper operation of plant and office HVAC systems.
- Conduct daily rounds for temperature, water filters, and ventilation.
- Complete assigned maintenance PM work orders.
- Operate manlifts or forklifts.
- Lift and carry up to 20+ kg.
- Climb ladders and work from heights.
Requirements
- Legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possess a Refrigeration Operator Class B License or 3rd Class Operating Engineer.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration and compressed air systems.
- Experience with boilers and steam.
- Knowledge of TSSA standards.
- Familiarity with good manufacturing practices.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work day, afternoon, midnight shifts, and possibly weekends.
- Self-starter with the ability to work effectively and lead within a team.
- Willingness to work from heights, outdoors in various weather conditions, inside the plant, in confined spaces, and in a potentially physically strenuous environment around live animals.
- Basic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety, and environmental regulations with a commitment to safety.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a high-performing team.
