About the Role
Payments Canada is seeking a Senior Payment Analyst to ensure the operational excellence of Canada’s clearing and settlement infrastructure. This role involves providing business expertise, managing incidents, and contributing to the improvement of national payment systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business needs of members and stakeholders to propose solutions and identify opportunities for value-added services.
- Conduct ongoing business operations, support, and monitoring of the High Value Payment System.
- Oversee timely and accurate follow-up and reporting of all participant and Payments Canada system incidents.
- Lead the internal team responsible for delivering the Quarterly Operational Health report and other related reports.
- Innovate and improve the depth and quality of team reporting for various internal and external audiences.
- Provide subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders on Payments Canada payment operations, Bylaws, rules, and standards.
- Prepare feasibility studies and business cases to support project approval.
- Manage work related to assigned Payments Canada task forces, committees, and working groups, including agenda management and acting as Chair.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a business administration, research, policy, or business analysis related position.
- Experience in developing and fostering relationships, both internally and externally.
- Ability to work outside of regular working hours based on operational requirements.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Clearance.
- Ability to successfully complete enhanced background checks.

- $88,500 to $147,500
