About the Role

Known is seeking a Creative Director with an Art focus to lead and develop big idea-driven creative for clients across industries. This role requires strategic thinking, flawless execution, bold innovation, passion, and optimism. The Creative Director, Art will oversee the development and execution of brand creative across various platforms, including TV, social, digital, OOH, and experience marketing. The ideal candidate is an innovative, collaborative, and hands-on leader experienced in developing impactful creative approaches and building strong cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead concept development and art direction execution for brand and 360 product marketing campaigns across TV, digital, social, and print.
  • Oversee and lead a team of creatives, mentoring them and developing their skills.
  • Participate in programs, mocks, and decks as needed, balancing leadership with hands-on contribution.
  • Serve as a thought leader to stakeholders and collaborators on brand and messaging.
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer mindsets, attitudes, and behaviors to inform strategic executions.
  • Manage the creative process from concept to execution.
  • Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies and outputs.
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met.
  • Oversee deliverables, adhering to timelines and creative budgets.
  • Represent creative output to key stakeholders and communicate with internal teams and agencies.
  • Manage multiple projects seamlessly, staying on deadline and within budget.
  • Review and approve the work of direct reports before seeking final approval.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Partner with Creative Operations on resourcing and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with Client, Strategy, and Media teams to ensure briefs spark groundbreaking creative grounded in insights and business goals.

Requirements

  • Portfolio featuring a wide range of creative campaigns, diverse ideas, and problem-solving approaches with a focus on strategic, breakthrough ideas across myriad channels.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC programs (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and emerging AI software (e.g., Midjourney).
  • "Roll up your sleeves" leadership style, capable of directing others and executing hands-on.
  • Strong aptitude and eye for brand identity, design, and architecture.
  • Solid understanding of how creativity achieves business objectives while meeting brand standards.
  • Strong analytical ability and clear, effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Display optimism, excitement for work, passion for challenges, and drive for business impact.
  • Positive, motivating leadership style, able to manage and nurture a team.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members at all levels to ensure projects meet brand guidelines, compliance, and goals.
  • Understanding of all aspects of brand marketing creative, including brand development, TV, social, digital, advertising, OOH, retail/POS, media, and environmental/experiential design.
  • Experience and skill in driving new business development and client review decks.
  • Demonstrate a creative and strategy-driven POV in developing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Adept at multitasking, coordinating multiple projects and resources, delivering under tight timelines, and adapting quickly to change.
  • 8-10+ years of creative advertising experience developing content and campaigns.
  • Undergraduate degree in Design, Advertising, Branding, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field.
