About the Role
Join a team of data scientists developing next-generation sports models that serve as the intelligence behind customer-facing products. You will work within a multi-disciplinary Agile squad to prototype, implement, evaluate, and optimize predictive algorithms for major sporting codes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement predictive models across major sporting codes
- Prototype, implement, evaluate, and optimize algorithms to calculate sporting outcome probabilities
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary Agile team of Software Engineers, Data Scientists, QA Engineers, and Product Managers
- Mentor team members to help them develop skills and deliver effectively
- Drive alignment and uncover edge cases in complex domains
Requirements
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational Statistics, Machine Learning, or related STEM field
- Expert understanding of probability and statistics fundamentals
- Proficiency with Python or other scripting/programming languages such as R or Matlab
- Expertise in a broad range of data science and machine learning algorithms
- Proven track record of delivering solutions to complex problems
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong time management and asynchronous communication skills
- Ability to act as a facilitator and balance individual contributions with team enablement
