About the Role
The Equifax Enterprise Innovation Office is seeking a Data Scientist to integrate diverse big data assets into analytical solutions. This role involves solving complex business problems through advanced analytics, AI/Machine learning, and financial modeling, while pushing the boundaries of big data innovation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Data Science Lab team on prototype development and deployment
- Prepare datasets and conduct analytics using computer science fundamentals
- Lead development projects with multiple deliverables across business domains
- Analyze complex data sources and engineer new features for analytical solutions
- Manage data storage within an analytical environment
- Design code and solutions while applying efficient coding best practices
- Develop complex models and algorithms while assessing business implications
- Package, visualize, and present analytical findings to management and business users
- Contribute to knowledge sharing sessions within the department
- Stay current on developments in AI, Machine Learning, and Big Data technologies
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (PhD preferred)
- 5-7 years of experience applying predictive analytics and modeling to business problems
- Strong proficiency in Python, Tensorflow, SQL, and Spark
- Advanced experience with data manipulation libraries like Pandas, Dask, and Spark DataFrames
- Theoretical and practical understanding of algorithm time and space complexity
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
