About the Role
Join our Employee Benefits & Retirement Division as a Client Service Representative (CSR). This permanent, full-time role offers an opportunity to develop client service and analytical skills within a client-focused culture.
Responsibilities
- Monitor employer-sponsored retirement plans, serving as the primary liaison between plan administrators, insurance carriers, and advisors.
- Oversee the implementation of new group retirement plans, ensuring accurate and compliant launches.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, addressing inquiries directly or liaising with insurance carrier representatives.
- Track key plan metrics including contribution rates, member participation, investment fund performance, and plan utilization.
- Support plan administrators during employee life events (terminations, leaves of absence, etc.).
- Assist the advisor and broader team with preparing quote requests, comparing market options, and remarketing existing group retirement plans.
- Maintain and update client files in the broker management system (EPIC).
- Support the advisor in delivering exceptional client experience by anticipating plan administrator needs and responding to service requests with urgency and professionalism.
Requirements
- 2+ years of group retirement experience, with knowledge of Canadian group retirement plan types.
- Experience working with plan administrators or employers managing group retirement plans.
- Demonstrated experience managing carrier relationships and navigating escalation processes.
- Exposure to retirement income products (LIF, RRIF, annuities).
- LLQP license (or willingness to obtain).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage a high volume of concurrent service requests across multiple plan administrator relationships.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
