About the Role
We’re seeking a Business Analyst to join our Analytics team, supporting key decision-makers with actionable insights and efficient dashboard solutions. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to make an impact, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all reporting and analysis for our personal insurance division (including retention reports, customer data analysis, year over year analysis, new business, etc.)
- Maintain, update, and enhance dashboards using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for leadership and finance teams
- Perform monthly analyses of financial metrics, including organic growth and new business trends, delivering insights to unit leaders
- Reconcile and upload data from multiple sources into visualization tools, ensuring consistency with corporate financial systems
- Prepare revenue forecasts, and year-end projections, to support business planning
- Create and maintain automated processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts across reporting workflows
- Provide ad hoc analysis and collaborate on special projects to support business objectives
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in data analysis or a related role
- Exposure to Power BI and advanced Excel functionalities (Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools, with a focus on creating impactful dashboards and reports
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced environment
- A growth mindset with a drive to learn, collaborate, and innovate
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with leadership, finance, and other departments
- We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as coding, or MS office), at our Toronto office
