About the Role
Discord is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Finance team. This role will focus on financial planning and forecasting, strategic analysis, equity programs, and capital markets. You will own financial planning tools, partner with cross-functional teams, build financial models, and support strategic projects, gaining invaluable experience in a rapidly growing business.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly and long-range forecasting and own reporting for various internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain analyses that inform Discord’s complex, high-stakes strategic initiatives and projects.
- Partner with Total Rewards, Legal, and Accounting on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across equity programs, compensation and more.
- Apply generative-AI and advanced analytics tools to accelerate modeling, improve processes, and streamline reporting.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or high-growth tech FP&A, with heavy financial-modeling ownership.
- Excel mastery, including building financial models from scratch with attention to model architecture, formula cleanliness, audit trails, and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally and with multiple constituents.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of valuation and accounting concepts, equity, and stock-based compensation are a plus.
- Experience with FP&A tools and/or programming experience for automating workflows and handling large datasets is a plus.
- Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
