About the Role
As a Property Manager Trainee at Homestead, you will develop the skills to manage the residential operation of a portfolio of buildings. You will supervise staff, ensure day-to-day operations are on schedule and within budget, and be proficient in cost management while maintaining high resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage staff in the performance of their day-to-day responsibilities
- Foster positive working relationships with and among reporting staff
- Responsible for managing NOI and CAPEX budget in your portfolio
- Ensure that your portfolio is operating safely and efficiently
- Ensure that accurate, timely, and complete documentation is maintained
- Analyze monthly financial statements
- Be available Monday to Friday during the day as well as on call for emergency situations
- Other responsibilities as required
Requirements
- Satisfactory reference check
- Criminal records clearance
- Reliable vehicle
- Valid Ontario driver’s license
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer and related technology skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Results oriented
- Knowledge of Property Management procedures/law is an asset
