About the Role

The Warehouse Team Lead oversees a wide variety of warehouse activities, organizing and scheduling production work to ensure revenue goals are attained. This role maintains a safe and productive work environment while processing donated goods, salvage materials, store inventory, and trash.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns tasks to achieve required daily warehouse productivity as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Measures and reports the effectiveness of department activities.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet warehouse demands based on production schedules and workflow.
  • Interprets company policies and enforces safety regulations.
  • Develops and maintains departmental work instructions for all tasks.
  • Monitors the loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Manages trash flow daily.
  • Prepares reports and employee documentation when required.
  • Manages equipment flow.
  • Provides good customer service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience, preferably in waste, warehouse, and logistics.
  • Driver experience preferred.
  • Experience with material handling equipment required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to make calculations such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.
  • Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Supervises at least 2 or more full-time employees.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50lbs), carry (up to 50lbs), kneel, push/pull, bend/stoop, reach, turn, and perform repetitive motions.
  • More than 2/3 of the day may require standing, using fingers, hands or feet.
