About the Role
Thomas J Henry Law is seeking a talented and career-driven Case Development Intake Attorney to manage a docket of approximately 50 cases, investigate, preserve evidence, develop medical information, and triage assigned cases.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, preserve evidence, develop medical information, and triage assigned cases.
- Secure accident reports, property damage photos, and investigate scenes.
- Send letters of representation and open record act requests.
- Order lifetime driving records and obtain witness statements.
- Perform criminal and social media investigations on clients and adverse parties.
- Assist clients in developing medical damages.
- Handle property damage claims.
- Communicate with clients and adjusters.
- Prepare and approve expense requests.
- Prepare monthly status reports for clients.
- Submit case reviews per firm policy.
- Manage clients during the case development intake process.
- Prepare and document demands in some instances.
- Act as a liaison between management and adverse adjusters to settle cases.
- Intake function.
- Investigate and develop commercial cases.
- Accept incoming calls from potential new clients (PNCs).
- Ascertain relevant facts and discuss all aspects of PNCs claims.
- Secure authorization to sign up, decline, or further evaluate claims.
- Explain attorney-client contracts.
- Sign up cases in and out of the office.
- Cover on rotational basis after-hours PNC calls and secure new client sign-ups.
- Provide status letters (one per client/month minimum).
- Conduct client meetings.
- Address and return all client calls by end of business day.
- Perform out-of-office sign-ups and after-hours on-call duties.
- Ensure 100% compliance on grade cards.
- Ensure ethical and legal obligations of all subordinates.
- Maximize case values and attorney fees recovered.
- Perform additional projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be licensed in Texas and in good standing.
- Must have a strong commitment to client service.
- Must have excellent writing skills.
- Must have valid TX driver license and good driving record.
- Must have the ability to motivate and energize support staff under his/her supervision.
- Must be approachable and have the ability to communicate with employees with professionalism.
