About the Role

This contract role involves sourcing and recruiting for a specialized Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) build-out at a well-funded frontier AI company. FDEs operate at the intersection of engineering, solutions architecture, and customer-facing implementation. The role offers direct access to hiring leadership and the opportunity to build something visible and own the outcome in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing and recruiting for a specialized FDE build-out.
• Pipeline FDE candidates across the Bay Area and/or Europe.
• Screen candidates for technical depth and customer-facing orientation.
• Manage candidate experience.
• Partner with the hiring team on calibration and process.

Requirements

• Demonstrated history of hiring Forward Deployed Engineers or closely analogous profiles (Solutions Engineers, Implementation Engineers, Customer Engineers at companies like Palantir, Anduril, Scale AI, or similar).
• In-house tech recruiting experience; agency background alone is not a fit.
• Recruiting focus in US (Bay Area) and/or European markets.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with lean process and high ownership.
• Bay Area based.
• Available to work from the Redwood City office 3 days per week.
• Available to start within 1-2 weeks.
