About the Role
The Business Execution Lead (BEL) is a global senior management position within Citi’s Banking Business Execution (BBE) team, responsible for supporting strategic initiatives and managing essential business execution functions. The BEL will coordinate activities such as tracking business performance, managing revenue and expenses, client administration, and handling ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Global Sector Heads in setting and implementing strategy.
- Manage client target market and conduct market share analysis.
- Drive strategic initiatives related to business growth and clients.
- Coordinate across product groups, geographical clusters, sectors, and functional partners to drive effective change.
- Operate business processes and oversee management analyses and reporting, including KPIs.
- Streamline processes and technology, and collaborate with functional partners to build consistent policies and procedures.
- Conduct in-depth research and perform deep dives on the business, understanding market dynamics, emerging trends, and industry implications.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and presentations for senior management, framing issues and synthesizing key findings and recommendations.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance and coaching, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment.
- Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience within Investment Banking, Corporate Banking or Commercial Banking (in client facing, strategy, business management or consulting roles) is required.
- Proven experience in successfully driving strategic projects across a large matrixed organization.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, execution and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to independently own work and operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Consistently detail-oriented, goal-oriented and able to work in a team.
- Ability to conduct research/analysis, synthesize large sets of data and convey a clear story supported by findings.
- Top consulting background a plus.
- Consistently develop and maintain effective work relationships, and work as a team.
