About the Role
We are seeking Registered Veterinary Technicians who want to enhance their RVT skills and be part of an amazing, collaborative team within the VCA family. We are firm believers of using RVTs to their full scope of practice, and we encourage, promote and reward employees for learning skills and further developing their hands-on knowledge and theory as it relates to their patients.
Responsibilities
- Placement of various IV catheters, urinary catheters, nasogastric tubes, and nasal oxygen cannulas.
- Care and maintenance of patients with E tubes, closed suction drains, chest tubes, urinary catheters, and wound diffusion catheters.
- Set up, maintenance, and adjustment of various IV fluid plans and pain CRI’s along with multiple medication administrations.
- Patient care including treatments for blocked cats, gastroenteritis, foreign bodies, fractures, lacerations, GDV, parvo, and various autoimmune diseases.
- Stabilize and perform anesthesia for various surgical and wound procedures and surgeries, as well as manage patients post-operatively.
