About the Role
This is a fixed-term contract position for an exceptionally creative, commercially minded, and experienced Head of Marketing. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of the most respected brands in luxury travel events, whilst supporting the development of our next phase of growth. You will lead a talented marketing team and work closely with commercial, design and operational teams to deliver exceptional marketing campaigns that strengthen brand visibility, deepen audience engagement, generate qualified leads, and support commercial growth. This is a player-coach role requiring both analytical and creative thinking with a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
- Translate commercial goals into measurable marketing plans with clear ROI metrics.
- Align marketing activity with business objectives, attendance targets, and revenue goals.
- Develop tactical plans to increase brand visibility, audience engagement, and market penetration.
- Lead go-to-market planning and launch activity for new event concepts and strategic growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to increase audience reach, brand influence, and commercial impact.
- Balance brand-building activity with measurable lead generation and revenue outcomes.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated brand campaigns across digital, email, social, content, PR, and partner channels.
- Drive the successful positioning and promotion of the global event portfolio.
- Develop compelling campaign narratives that reinforce the brand's reputation as a premium and influential luxury brand.
- Collaborate with design and content teams to ensure creative excellence.
- Leverage analytics, customer insight, and AI-powered tools to continuously optimise campaign effectiveness.
- Ensure all campaigns align with wider business goals and support commercial success.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across paid media, organic content, emails, and partner channels.
- Improve lead quality, MQL-to-SQL conversion rates, and pipeline performance.
- Develop audience acquisition strategies for hosted buyers, exhibitors, sponsors, and strategic partners.
- Manage and optimise paid media campaigns across relevant platforms.
- Model an AI-first approach to analyse campaign performance, customer journeys, and conversion data.
- Build reporting frameworks and dashboards that clearly demonstrate marketing's contribution to commercial outcomes.
- Use data, testing and customer insight to continuously refine campaign performance.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to improve targeting, personalisation, and efficiency.
- Champion the brand, ensuring it reflects innovation, quality, exclusivity and thought leadership.
- Oversee brand consistency and creative excellence across all customer touchpoints.
- Collaborate with the Head of Design and creative team to develop compelling brand storytelling.
- Champion an AI-first approach to content creation and campaign development.
- Ensure all marketing activity strengthens market position and brand reputation.
- Protect and evolve the brand's visual identity, tone of voice and positioning.
- Lead the development of inspiring, high-quality content across all channels.
- Develop a content strategy that positions the brand as a leading voice.
- Create thought leadership programmes that showcase industry insight, innovation, and expertise.
- Ensure content is optimised for AIEO, GEO, SEO and emerging search behaviours.
- Develop community engagement initiatives that deepen relationships with buyers, suppliers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Build ambassador, influencer and advocacy programmes.
- Lead PR activity, media partnerships, and editorial collaborations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential collaborators and influencers.
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships that strengthen reputation, reach and commercial value.
- Support sales teams in securing sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop innovative partnership concepts.
- Represent the brand at industry events, networking functions, and strategic meetings globally.
- Act as a visible ambassador for the brand.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Create a collaborative, supportive and high-performing team culture.
- Manage departmental budgets effectively.
- Establish clear KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance dashboards.
- Ensure effective prioritisation of resources.

- Combine data-driven analysis, anecdotal and real customer feedback, and industry intelligence.
- Provide actionable recommendations that support growth, innovation, and commercial performance.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development across the team.
- Occasionally be required to work outside standard hours to attend and support events or meet key deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within luxury travel, hospitality, lifestyle, media, luxury brands, or premium events.
- Previous experience leading and developing marketing teams.
- Strong brand marketing and creative campaign experience.
- Demonstrable success managing both brand and performance marketing programmes.
- Experience developing lead generation strategies and improving marketing ROI.
- Deep understanding of luxury brands, luxury consumers, and premium customer experiences.
- Experience building strategic partnerships and managing senior external stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to connect marketing activity directly to business outcomes.
- Excellent project management, budget management, and prioritisation skills.
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Highly collaborative leadership style with strong relationship-building capabilities.
- Strategic and adaptive thinker with creativity, curiosity, and attention to detail.

- Experience within luxury travel, luxury hospitality, premium lifestyle brands, or luxury media.
