About the Role
Skilled and reliable Fleet Automotive Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair of an 85-vehicle fleet consisting of Ford vans, cars, and SUVs. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technician seeking a less demanding role maintaining a private fleet, committed to minimizing vehicle downtime through proactive maintenance and expert diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Execute routine inspections, oil changes, tire rotations, and NYS inspections for a high-volume fleet.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical, engine, and transmission issues using diagnostic software.
- Perform comprehensive repairs on braking systems, suspensions, steering, HVAC, and drivetrain components.
- Ensure all vehicles meet safety standards and emissions regulations.
- Maintain detailed digital service records for every asset.
- Coordinate with vendors to source OEM Ford parts efficiently to ensure quick turnaround times.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive repair experience.
- Must possess a complete set of professional-grade tools.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- NYS inspectors license.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to work in various physical positions (bending, kneeling, standing) for extended periods.
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, DMV search, and reference verification.
