About the Role

We are seeking a Preowned Service Technician with a strong service technician background and ASE certification to diagnose and repair vehicles. The role involves working on specific repair orders and identifying necessary repairs for preowned vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate directly with preowned management and service manager regarding additional service needs and provide repair time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Work onsite Monday-Friday and every third Saturday.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASE Certification required.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude with an eagerness to improve.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Teammate with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
