About the Role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurants, including recruiting, developing, and mentoring team members. They will oversee financial responsibilities such as inventory and ordering, optimize profits, and ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.
- Complete financial and personnel/payroll administrative duties accurately and on time.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and compliance with laws.
- Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation.
- Maintain a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness and appearance standards.
- Ensure proper security procedures are in place.
- Manage shifts, including daily decision making, scheduling, and planning.
- Ensure positive guest service and resolve complaints.
- Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of previous restaurant manager experience
- 2-4 years high volume bar/restaurant experience
- Liquor License certification is mandatory
- Food manager certificate required
- Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish
- Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times
- Regularly required to stand for a minimum of 10-12 hours per day
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock
