About the Role
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration and execution of Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities for the Alstom Urbalis Flo solution, contributing to the safety, efficiency, and success of railway signaling projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute Test & Commissioning (T&C) activities related to railway signaling subsystems up to successful completion and handover to customers or warranty teams.
- Lead test activities over railway signaling systems and ensure the Test & Commissioning process is executed based on approved procedures.
- Ensure all required installation documentation provided by designers and instruction changes (including field modifications – FMI) are adequately recorded, reported, and approved.
- Conduct deep troubleshooting of wayside/railway systems and equipment (for Urbalis Flo) to identify root causes of failures and integration issues, and define containment and sustainable solutions with support from the Test team and Engineering.
- Share findings with Installation, Test & Commissioning, and project management teams.
- Conduct work planning, pre-work safety briefs, post-work debriefs, and escalate matters as required to meet project Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or a Technical Degree combined with equivalent years of experience.
- In-depth experience or understanding of Installation, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), or Verification & Validation (V&V) activities for railway signaling projects.
- Strong knowledge of railway signaling subsystems and installation processes for the Alstom Urbalis Flo product line.
- Familiarity with interfacing between Design, Installation, and other stakeholders.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Willingness to work in the field and on night shifts (including weekends) as required to support project milestones.
- Flexibility and availability for short or long missions in different locations and countries.
- Strong leadership skills, with a sense of urgency and priority management.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate challenges.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
