About the Role

The Associate Security Analyst plays a supportive role in Payments Canada’s Information Security Awareness Program and Personnel Screening Program. This role is key in promoting a culture of security and awareness for all employees, acting as an ambassador for the organization’s security function.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and delivery of Payments Canada’s Information Security Awareness and Education Programs.
• Assist in the development, delivery and maintenance of the Payments Canada Information Security Awareness Programs, including developing bulletins, alerts, and awareness material.
• Develop and deliver security training.
• Support the implementation and operations of Payments Canada personnel security and screening programs.
• Liaise with the Government of Canada Industry Security Program and contracted vendors and third parties.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an information security or information risk management capacity.
• Ability to work outside of regular working hours based on operational requirements.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Clearance.
• Ability to successfully complete enhanced background checks.
• Ability to work in person at the Payments Canada Ottawa office as needed.
