About the Role
The Client Data Services (CDS) team is responsible for account and settlement instruction setup for all products offered by local entities to clients. The team interacts with front office, settlement, AML/KYC teams, and clients to manage new account openings, ongoing maintenance, product agreements, and client documentation. The role also involves onboarding clients to local entities in Japan according to regulations and enterprise policies, with potential for expansion.
Responsibilities
- Manage new account opening
- Ongoing maintenance of clients and accounts, including support for corporate actions events such as client name changes
- Setup and support ongoing maintenance of settlement instructions
- Handle product specific agreements and contracts
- Manage Client Documentation, including global and local tax regulation related documents, FIEA letters, and Terms and Conditions
- Various forms/documentation maintenance – Postage, Storage and Disposal
- Respond and coordinate requests received from external and internal groups to provide required information in a timely manner
- Provide oversight of outsourced activities, ensuring services are delivered according to SLAs
- Onboard Global Markets clients to local entities in Japan according to the local regulations
- Advise and explain KYC (Know Your Clients) requirements to sales/clients
- Set up and maintain client details
- Facilitate, collect and verify Non AML documents from clients such that may include FATCA, CRS forms, or FIEA client category
- Facilitate dormancy review and off boarding of clients
Requirements
- Establish and maintain a good working environment with team members and business partners

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent technical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to make recommendations to all levels of the organization
- Able to think from an enterprise standpoint as well as surrounding regulations
- Attention to details
- Good knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, others)
Skills
- Native Japanese language skills
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal
