About the Role

The Credit Analyst assesses the creditworthiness of buyers by reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and Coface's internal data to produce a Debtor Risk Assessment (DRA). This role involves monitoring a portfolio of companies, liaising with Underwriters, and maintaining database accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Contact companies through phone interviews and/or field visits to obtain financial and business information.
  • Gather and search for additional information where required.
  • Produce Debtor Reports demonstrating analysis, conclusions, and clear recommendations.
  • Act on and respond to DRA revision requests in a timely manner, ensuring SLAs are respected.
  • Monitor risk and update assessments upon receipt of alerts from internal and external sources.
  • Send warnings on specific events to Underwriting.
  • Maintain the accuracy and consistency of the company database.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with underwriting and information colleagues.
  • Communicate adverse information relevant to exposure reviews to underwriters and management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
  • Contribute to transversal projects.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of financial analysis, including the ability to read and interpret balance sheets and income statements.
  • Ability to make recommendations based on liquidity and indebtedness.
  • Excellent capacity to communicate, with the ability to ask lead-in and follow-up questions.
  • Awareness and appreciation of prevailing macroeconomic and industry sector drivers and trends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and share information.
  • Curiosity and capacity to challenge.
